But, hey, I can relate with Edgar. We all have those moments when we realize our parents are more than we thought they were. Like, I never knew my dad could be a big scary swearing angry guy until I saw him chase an intruder out of our house. I never knew what a sacrifice it was for my mom to work graveyard nursing shifts with 5 young kids until…okay, I actually still don’t know how she did that. That was amazing.
And, Edgar didn’t know how cool his mom could be until he saw her whisk eggs very briskly. It’s the little things.
