Edgar has an obsessive fear of animals that rivals my own. He and I can spend hours watching a documentary about bears, jellyfish, sharks, killers whales–you name it. We fall in love with the animal du jour…but, it also terrifies us.
Edgar will spend about half of the documentary in the hallway just outside the door to our movie room, watching the movie with one eye on the door jam. For safety, I guess. For about 10 years, I had a dream that a killer whale or shark ate me at least once a month. Now I just dream about piles of unwashed dishes.
